I reached out to echelon regarding parts for my bike. I purchased the bike in Jan of 2021 and have used it about 3-5 times a week since then. I was on a ride and suddenly felt the crank arm a bit weak as it circled around and on the downward rotation it came off. The bolt/screw that the crank arm is screwed onto completely broke off. Echelon says they can sell me the “kit” but I dont know if that includes the bolt on which it mounts onto? Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello, This happened to me this morning the crank arm with nut inside just sheared off, did you get your problem resolved?

After much investigation, I learned that 1. The crank arm kit will not fix your problem 2. Unless you’ve had your bike for less than a year, you have to purchase a new one and 3. If youve had your bike for less than 2 years you can buy an extended warranty for about $130.00. And they’ll send out a new one. (They’ll want pictures and stuff.

The same thing just happened to me two weeks ago. I’m unable to get the nut out of the crank where the pedal broke off to replace the pedal and I’m unable to remove the crank arm as it’s impossible for me to remove. I’m left with a useless bike.
