Having gained a few (10!!!) kg during lock down and not being able to get out to exercise, I have been looking at the Connect bike. I get an NHS discount but its still a lot of money. Really want to know if this is a good bet and if there are classes for absolute beginners as not done this kind of exercise before. Talk me in or out of it!

Look forward to your replies!

Yes there are classes for beginners, and for me the expense has been well worth it. But, that's because I ride outdoors in the woods with some friends and using the Connect for a good session after work or on rainy days has helped me keep up with those guys. It's hard to say how it would be for you without knowing more about you. I would say try an indoor cycling class somewhere if you can before spending the money, a lot of gyms and studios have free or cheap demo sessions.
